Dedication to My Patients and My Profession
I have practiced dentistry since 1978 and now, while many of my friends are retiring from dentistry and other professions, I am still passionate about what I do.
Each day at my office brings new people to meet, along with seeing patients who have long been friends. Every day I have multiple opportunities to touch a person’s life, whether I’m brightening their smile, relieving pain, or restoring the ability to comfortably chew. And all interactions are a time for me to learn and grow, as patients talk about their lives, families, experiences, and in doing so broaden my world.
The Dental Health Connection
I could not be more proud of my team. They are warm, friendly, and caring; wanting only the best for our patients. Many have been with the practice for more than 30 years, and have built real connections with those in our care. Each of my staff is devoted to seeing to your needs: professionally, financially, and personally. We are here to serve and assist you, and are honored to do so.
Education, Experience, and Professional Affiliations
I attended the University of Massachusetts Amherst for my Bachelor of Science and pre-dental studies. I graduated magna cum laude and was nominated to the Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society.
I attended Georgetown University School of Dentistry in Washington, DC, where I obtained my Doctorate of Dental Surgery. Remaining at Georgetown, I completed additional specialty training in functional jaw orthopedics.
One of the most fascinating aspects of dentistry, I find, is how much the practice has changed over the years. Ongoing research leads to new methodologies, technologies, and materials, as well as improvements in diagnostics, patient experience, and results.
I stay current on the latest advancements in general dentistry, along with pursuing additional specialty training. Each year I complete many hours of continuing education, attending conferences, lectures, and seminars, and participate weekly in webinars and other courses.
I am an active member of American Dental Association and Massachusetts Dental Association, and a Master in the American Academy of Facial Esthetics. These organizations offer a multitude of options for me to advance my skills and knowledge.
Over the years I have completed advanced training in: endodontic therapy (root canals); periodontics (gum therapy); TMJ-TMD (jaw dysfunction); and cosmetic and aesthetic dentistry.
This continual learning ensures I can provide patients the best dental experience, using ideal materials and procedures, for the healthiest, most aesthetically pleasing results.
Beyond the Office
Raised in Brookline and Needham, I have lived in Westford for almost 40 years. My wife Lolita and I have three children — Austin, Courtny, and Jonathan — as well as two cats, Lilly and Billy, and a dog, Gracie.
Time with loved ones is my priority when I’m not in the office. I also enjoy body building and nutrition, and am a part owner of Flex-Appeal.
