Office Manager & Financial Coordinator

I started working part time in the dental field in high schcool cleaning instruments and seating patients. After high school I began working for Dr. Smith as a dental assistant in 1985 and obtained my dental radiology certificate at BU Dental School. I was Dr. Smith’s lead assistant for many years but enjoyed working the fron desk, gradually becoming familiar with all aspects of the front office I began doing both jobs until 2010 when I became Dr. Smith’s office manager and financial coordinator. I have extensive training with our software Eaglesoft. In 1997 I obtained my aesthetics licenses to become an esthetician and I am aolso CPR certified.

Favorite part of my job: Working with my co-workers and seeing our patients every day for 35 years, they have become like family to me. I also enjoy advocating for my patients when insurance companies deny treatment and when I succeed in getting their claims paid that really makes my day.

Fun facts about me: I enjoy working out and spending time with my daughter and husband. I am a huge cat and animal lover. I feed all the feral cats in my neighborhood and try to rescue them if I can.

Lisa

Dental Hygienist

Lisa has been in the dental field for over 15 years becoming a Dental Hygienist in 2005. Lisa is passionate about dental health and also loves to give back to the community by visiting schools and educating children on the importance of dental health. Lisa has volunteered within the community promoting oral health through farmers markets and has teamed up with the local police department to implement MYCHIP programs for child identification and safety. She spends a lot of time with patients to educate and encourage them to maintain good periodontal health and it’s connection to overall health. Lisa stays current in her education through continuing education courses and holds certifications in OSHA and CPR. She is licensed in dental hygiene as well as local anesthesia through the state of Massachusetts. Lisa resides in Wilmington with her husband and is a dedicated Mom to her two children. In her free time, Lisa likes to spend time with her family and enjoys playing softball.

Melissa

Certified Dental Assistant

I studied at Brookline Dental Carrer Institute where I received my certificate in Dental Assisting/Radiology and did my externship. I am radiology, OSHA and CPR certified. I also went to Middlesex Community College for business management receiving my associate’s degree. Throughout my career I have been able to utilize all my skills at Dr. Smith’s office. We are always learning & upgrading the state-of-the-art technology. I enjoyed the environment and my coworkers there so much I stayed on.

Favorite part of my job: I love helpign paitents feel comfortable about their dental procedures. I am continually learning new dental technology to further my experience.

Fun facts about me: I love bike riding, hiking, and being a mom to my son Noah.
